How often does the water have to be changed?

Water changes are not required if you follow the instructions in the maintenance manual provided with each system.  The Integrated Water Treatment system treats all organic and inorganic waste produced by or purged from the live animals.

Can different species be held together?

By law bivalve and crustaceans used for food consumption cannot be held together in Canada. BioNovations Inc. always recommends clients to check with their local fishery authorities regarding relevant legislation(s).

What is BioNovations’ solution if our company plans to increase its live seafood holding capacities?

During initial discussions regarding your future plans, BioNovations’ team would be able to customize an expandable system to meet your planned expansion. Depending on which system is purchased, all that one may require is additional tanks, trays, and plumbing.

Does the seafood species need to be fed?

BioNovations Integrated Water Treatment System and temperature controlled refrigeration allows the product to hibernate thus reducing energy output and weight loss and feeding is not required to hold live animals provided that they are held in a state of hibernation. Lobsters have been held up to six months, however, the live holding time period will vary depending on species being held and maintenance by owner.

The Traystor® II series comes in a package and can be easily assembled.
